Detection mechanism
In order to detect specific drugs, pure carbon quantum dots do not all play its role. Quantum dots need to be modified, such as the doping of non-metallic (B, N) elements and the doping of metallic elements (Cu). After the drug is added to the modified carbon quantum dots, its fluorescence is obviously quenched. Within a certain concentration range, the fluorescence intensity has a linear relationship with the concentration of the drug, so that the drug sample can be detected.
