Background
Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) have abundant surface functional groups and numerous active sites. Through functionalization, other specific functional groups can be grafted to improve the adsorption capacity of specific substances. MOFs materials are functionalized or surface-modified to obtain type materials, which not only have the characteristics of MOFs but also have greater activity, which can enhance the application value of MOFs materials. ZIFs have the advantages of good thermal stability, structural adjustability and ultra-high specific surface area. ZIF-8 belongs to the ZIFs series of MOFs. It is composed of Zn2+ and imidazole-based ligands. It is a porous material with a topological structure. In ZIF-8 material, there are functional groups with acid and basic properties at the same time, so it can adsorb a variety of pollutants. A new type of ZIF-8 composite material was synthesized by using solution co-deposition method to load GQDs on the surface of ZIF-8.
