Food Safety Inspection Services

Alfa Chemistry has rich experience in quantum dot food safety testing. We are committed to performing analytical test studies for our customers in full compliance with the required guidance and regulatory requirements of food regulatory authorities. We have advanced equipment and professional personnel to provide you with very reliable services.

Background

Food is the most basic material condition for human survival and development. Food quality and safety are related to people's health and life safety and other basic rights. It is very important to monitor food safety by using simple, low-cost, safe and non-toxic detection methods. In the field of food safety detection, CQDs has become a good detection method because of its good fluorescence characteristics and low biological toxicity.

Services

As a new type of semiconductor nanomaterial, quantum dots (QDs) can play a role in various research projects and fields due to their unique optical properties and good photochemical properties. Alfa Chemistry quantum dot food safety services include but are not limited to:

With the continuous development of modern biotechnology and the in-depth research and improvement of quantum dot fluorescent nanomaterials, the scope of quantum dots serving various disciplines and fields is also expanding.

Sensing mechanism of fluorescence response

Fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET)

The FRET process is observed when the emission spectra of the donor molecule overlap the absorption spectra of the recipient molecule, and the two molecules need to be sufficiently close (below 10 nm). Fret-based fluorescent probes tend to have high sensitivity and resolution and are unaffected by fluctuations in the excitation light source and sensor concentration. Interference is avoided by attaching recognition molecules to the surface of the nanoparticles to form specific fluorescent probes.

Internal filtration effect (IFE)

When the absorption spectrum of the receptor overlaps with the excitation or emission spectrum of the fluorescent probe, the receptor can quench the fluorescence of the fluorescent probe by internal filtering. IFE fluorescent probes are simple and sensitive, and do not require donor modification or donor connection.

Photoinduced electron transfer (PET)

Photoinduced electron transfer (PET) refers to the process of electron transfer between the excited donor and the acceptor after the electron donor is excited by light, resulting in fluorescence quenching. This kind of fluorescence probe has advantages such as excellent selective sensitivity and obvious fluorescence signal, which is suitable for detecting metal ions and small molecules.
