The inherent vulnerability of perovskite makes PeQDs decompose rapidly in polar solvent, humid environment, light, and heating conditions. Furthermore, the average PL lifetime (τavg) of the colloidal PQDs is about 10 ns in general. To use PeQDs in practical application, one needs to solve the stability issue. Polymer encapsulation has proven to be a good way to improve the stability of PeQDs. Meanwhile, changing the type of encapsulated polymers could change the fluorescence lifetime of PeQDs but does not change the emission spectrum.
