CdSe/ZnS Quantum Dots

Inquiry

Product Description

Alfa Chemistry offers cadmium selenide zinc sulfide (CdSe/ZnS) core/shell quantum dots with the same outstanding optical properties as CdSe quantum dots. They feature a ZnS coating that helps protect and stabilize the unique optical properties of the CdSe core from potentially damaging environments, while reducing surface trap states and improving performance. In addition, ZnS shells exhibit bright and stable luminescence. Their stable nature allows for further surface chemistry manipulation. Our quantum dots can be used in a wide range of applications in imaging and display research, surface chemistry and so on.

The types of quantum dots we offer include:

CdSe/ZnS (core/shell) Quantum Dots Powder are in wavelengths from 530 nm to 650 nm.

CdSe/ZnS Core-shell Type Quantum Dots are in wavelengths from 520 nm to 620 nm, quantum yield>50%.

CdSe/ZnS Quantum Dots are CdSe/ZnS core/shell quantum dots coated with carboxyl and alkyl, with the emission peaks ranging from 450 nm to 650 nm, quantum yield > 20%.

Oil Phase CdSe/ZnS Quantum Dot Solution are in wavelengths from 460 nm to 640 nm, quantum yield are ranging from 50% to 70%.

Organic Soluble CdSe/ZnS Quantum Dots are in wavelengths from 520 nm to 620 nm, quantum yield ≧ 30%.

Water Dispersible CdSe/ZnS Quantum Dots are CdSe/ZnS core/shell quantum dots coated with a hydrophilic surfactant for dispersion in water, with the emission peaks ranging from 480 nm to 660 nm.

Applications

Drug Detection

Jin et al. synthesized water-soluble CdSe/ZnS (core-shell) semiconductor quantum dots surface-modified with p-sulfonatocalix [4] aryl tetrahexyl ether derivatives for the optical detection of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.

DNA Detection

Patolsky et al. reported the use of CdS-ZnS core-shell quantum dots (QDs) as photochemical centers to illuminate the dynamics of telomere or DNA replication occurring on the respective nanoparticles via fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET).
