EDC Conjugation Kit for Carboxylic Cd-based Core/shell Quantum Dots

Quantum dots (QDs) are fluorescent semiconductor nanocrystals with unique optical and electronic properties, including size-adjustable emission wavelengths, superior brightness, high photobleaching resistance, and simultaneous excitation of multiple colors from a single light source. By controlling the size, particles can emit or absorb light at specific wavelengths. Alfa Chemistry's carboxyl Cd-based core/shell quantum dots, ranging from 450-645 nanometers, now come in an easy-to-use kit format that allows researchers to combine proteins and ligands of their own choice. The kit contains 1mL of quantum dots, sufficient reagents and components to perform coupling reactions on quantum dots. In simple terms, these quantum dots are activated with carbodiimide and n-hydroxysuccinimide and then bind to target proteins/ligands such as bovine serum albumin and amino immunoglobulin.

Product Description

The carboxyl terminated cadmium quantum dot kit contains carboxyl quantum dots and reagents sufficient for four conjugation reactions. In short, quantum dots are activated by carbodiimide and N-hydroxysuccinimide and then bind to amino groups on target proteins / ligands, such as bovine serum albumin, streptomycin and immunoglobulin.
