InP/ZnS Quantum Dots

Product Description

InP/ZnS quantum dots are core-shell high brightness semiconductor crystals with an indium phosphide core and a zinc sulfide outer core. InP/ZnS quantum dots can be stabilized with oleylamine ligands and are soluble in various organic solvents. These quantum dots possess a novel property of having an extremely narrow emission spectrum (Gaussian distribution) proportional to the size of the particles. The smaller the particle, the more blueshifted its emission, and conversely, the larger the particle, the more redshifted its emission. Indium phosphide/zinc sulfide quantum dots have the potential to transform light emitting diodes (LEDs) from mere display devices to illumination devices, creating the first solid state lighting source.
