Near-infrared PbS Quantum Dots

Inquiry

Product Description

The large Bohr radius of PbS quantum dots makes it easy to prepare nanoparticles with significant quantum effects. Due to its excellent nonlinear optical properties and suitable forbidden band width, the electronic energy band spans the infrared spectral region from 900 to 1330 nm, which overlaps with the "communication wavelength", and is widely used in the fields of optoelectronic devices, communication, light-emitting diodes, solar cells, etc. The near-infrared wavelength emitted by PbS quantum dots has strong tissue penetration and low background and high resolution bioimaging properties. The near-infrared wavelengths emitted by PbS quantum dots are widely used in biological fields because of their strong tissue penetration and low background and high resolution bioimaging properties.

Advantages of Our Products

Alfa Chemistry's Near-infrared PbS Quantum Dots are characterized by narrow particle size distribution, high color purity, NIR emission, good stability, low cost and easy mass production. We can also provide NIR PbS quantum dots with different surface groups, solvents, concentrations, and customized emission wavelengths according to customer requirements.

Applications of Near-infrared PbS Quantum Dots

Bio-imaging

Near-infrared ultra-small lead sulfide (PbS) quantum dots are encapsulated by using polyethylene glycol phospholipid micelles for in vitro and in vivo imaging. The cytotoxicity of micelle-encapsulated QDs formulations was evaluated using the MTS method and histological analysis studies. The toxicity of PbS quantum dots was found to decrease after phospholipid micellar encapsulation of quantum dots. Thus, it is envisioned that PEGylated phospholipid micelle-encapsulated PbS quantum dot formulations could be used as therapeutic probes for certain specific applications in cell imaging and small animal studies.
