Alfa Chemistry provides quantum dots with unique advantages such as high fluorescence quantum yield, tunable fluorescence emission spectra, good biocompatibility, stable optical properties, and narrow and symmetrical emission bands. Our fluorescent quantum dots can be used as biological and chemical probes for basic research such as cell localization and imaging, chemical detection, and clinical diagnosis. Alfa Chemistry offers high quality oil soluble CdSe quantum dot products. The average quantum yield is 60%. We can customize our products for any wavelength from 520 nm to 640 nm.


Fluorescent probes

Huang et al. established a new method for the direct determination of the pesticide hydantoin using oil-soluble CdSe quantum dots prepared in organic phase as a fluorescent probe with a minimum detection limit of 1.1x10-7 mol·L-1. This method is simple, rapid, sensitive, selective and can be successfully used for the determination of hydantoin residues in real samples. The method is simple, rapid, sensitive and selective, and can be successfully applied to the determination of the pesticide residues in real samples. The results showed that hydantoin could effectively change the surface state of oil-soluble CdSe quantum dots and increase the occurrence of surface defects and non-radiative recombination, thus causing the fluorescence burst of oil-soluble CdSe quantum dots.
