Product Description

Oil soluble CdTe quantum dots are nanoparticles with diameters of 1-10 nm. Nanoparticles can emit fluorescence corresponding to their own energy level when excited by external energy, which is a kind of luminescent material with high conversion efficiency, and has become a popular material in the field of nano-biophotonics and biomarkers due to its small particle size and superior and unique optical and surface modification properties. wide size range, narrow size distribution, good stability, and strong fluorescence. Currently, you can order oil soluble CdTe quantum dot products at 515 nm-615 nm. If you need a product that is not on our list, please feel free to contact us and we can customize the product to satisfy you.

Applications

Photocatalysis

Khodam et al. found that the photocatalytic application of CdTe quantum dots (QDs) is limited by the charge carrier recombination and the tendency to aggregate in suspension systems. The unique advantages of CdTe QDs were exploited by combining functionalized CdTe (F-CdTe) QDs with CoNiAl layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanocomposites. The nanocomposites were prepared by in situ synthesis of F-CdTe QDs in LDH with the QDs partially inserted in the interlayer space of LDH. Due to the effective electronic coupling between the F-CdTe QDs and the CoNiAl LDH, the light-harvesting capability is enhanced and the absorption edge extends toward higher visible wavelengths. In addition, the charge carrier recombination in the nanocomposite is greatly suppressed compared to the pristine CoNiAl LDH and F-CdTe QDs. In addition, the nanocomposites showed significant enhancement in photocatalytic degradation of sample contaminants of acid red 14 (AR14) and bisphenol A (BPA).
